Hazaribagh, Literally meaning a thousand gardens

Hazaribag Wildlife Sanctuary



The national park is located on the Chotanagpur plateau. It stretches over 184 sq km of undulating countryside, steep hills and deep drainage channels with thick tropical forests and grass meadows, at an average altitude of 615 meters. There are small rivers and a number of dams have been constructed to form artificial lakes within the park.

Hazaribagh Lake




This is the most popular attraction of the region. The lake has four parts. 
Third part is most picturesque and offers breathtaking sun rise and sunset views.

Canary Hill




Situated in the middle of the forest, Canary Hill is also a worth exploring place here.
The region has an observation tower in rest house. From there, tourists can get the view
of forested area of Eastern Hazaribagh. Sunset views from the hill are also amazing.

Telaiya Dam



It is the first Dam and hydro -Electric power station constructed by Damodar Valley Corporation 
across Barakar River, in Koderma district. The dam is 1200 ft long and 99 ft high.

Konar Dam



Surya Kund



Surajkund hot spring (also called Surya Kund) is a natural hot spring
Surajkund has a hot water spring containing sulfur that has healing properties
