TIRUVARUR TEMPLE CAR
Tiruvarur temple car ('AAZHI THER' in Tamil)the largest temple car in Tamil Nadu.The main attraction of the festival is the procession of the great temple car of Thiruvarur. This great chariot is said to the biggest one of its type in size and height. It is 96 feet (29 m) tall and weights more than 300 tons.
THIRUVARUR TEMPLE KODIMARAM
The ancient Arulmigu Thyagaraja Temple at Tiruvarur is dedicated to the Somaskanda aspect of Shiva. The temple complex has shrines dedicated to Vanmikanathar, Tyagarajar and the Kamalaamba, and covers an area of over 33 acres (130,000 m2).
