Idukki



A landlocked district, Idukki is one of the most nature rich areas of Kerala. High ranges and wooded valleys are girded by three main rivers - Periyar, Thalayar and
Thodupuzhayar - and their tributaries. The River Pamba also has its origin here.


The district's name, 'Idukki' is supposed to be derived from the Malayalam word 'Idukku' which means a narrow gorge. As a tourist destination, Idukki offers diverse 
attractions like Wildlife sancturies, Hill stations, Dams, Spece plantation tours, Mountain treks, Elephant rides etc.
- 'IDUKKI DAM' - Asia's biggest Arch Dam of 555 feet height.




Hill View Park Idukki

Hill View Park is a garden located near Idukki Arch Dam in Idukki District of Kerala State of India .Spread over sprawling 8 acres of land the garden is above the dam at the height of 350 feet. It offers beautiful scenic view of surrounding area and of the Dam.

Malankara Reservoir
Malankara Reservoir is 6 km from Thodupuzha. Located on Thodupuzha – Moolamattom road, this artificial lake is accessible by road and is ideal for boating and fishing.



Thommankuthu
Thommankuthu is a very scenic waterfall near Thodupuzha, in the southern state of Kerala.




Keezharkuthu
Keezharkuthu waterfall, also called Rainbow falls, is situated in Idukki District, about 25 kilometres from the town of Thodupuzha.
