Valvil Ori festival
The Ori festival was celebrated atop Kolli Hills. The Tamil Nadu State Government has been organising the annual festival since 1975. The festival was named after King Ori, fondly known as ‘Valvil Ori’ for his expertise in using the bow and arrow. He was also remembered for his generosity.
More than 1,000 varieties of flowers were on display at the annual flower show..More than 80 archers from 10 disticts participatedin the archery competition, the main event of the festival.
